Storyteller.
Romance Reader.
Survivor.
Charmaine Everly began writing as a way to navigate grief after the sudden loss of her beloved mother. What started as a quiet act of healing evolved into a passion for crafting emotionally honest stories centered on Black love, legacy, and self-discovery.
Raised in New Jersey and now based in Atlanta, Charmaine balances her work in healthcare with her love for storytelling. Her debut novel, Right Pieces, Wrong Man, is the first in The Wrong Series, which explores the complexities of relationships, identity, and the quiet power of choosing yourself.
Charmaine writes for women who’ve loved deeply, lost unexpectedly, and are learning to rebuild with joy. Through every word, she honors the love and strength her mother poured into her, hoping her stories offer the same comfort and clarity to others.
““I began writing as a way to process the grief of losing my mother. In that darkness, I discovered a calling: crafting emotionally rich love stories centering bold, complex Black women.””
